Area Overview
This is an overview of what you, the goddess, know about your area as of turn zero. It is made up of a series of impressions and historical/mythological information gathered from your people, plus some residual information left over from a long period of your own pre conscious self watching the people of the area. This information isn't meant to be complete, your area is huge and much of it isn't yet inhabited by humanity, and some of it may be outdated or even false, but it is a start.

Your land is a harsh area entirely surrounded by ranges of gigantic mountains, glacial ice, and snow. Forests of various types cover the mountain ranges, and many streams and rivers run through them including some that are rather large. These mountains break up much of your world into separate valleys, passes, and foothill regions and your not entirely sure how each group of people in the area relate to one another. None of the groups seems to be aware that any of the others exist at all from what you can tell.

The Drukpa world is a gigantic cold plateau that seems to encompass a vast amount of your area. It is dotted by brakkish lakes, and covered in cold dry grasslands where the people are able to hunt mammoth, wooly rhino, Irish Elk, and gigantic wild cattle. Sometimes they are surrounded by mountains, and sometimes the wandering bands are near the edge of a great drop into the clouds far below. The plateau continues west out of your area beyond the ley line walls and it too contains tall mountains rising up from it's flat surface.

The Tsari know nothing of the plateau, they are settled in mountain valleys where fresh water rivers run down from far above.. They hunt goats, gazelle, sheep, and many smaller animals here, as well as fishing in the rivers. This landscape seems to be a series of mountain valleys, river canyons, mountain passes, and snow capped mountain, all mostly covered in a wide variety of different types of forest environment. The people's settlements are limited to the river valleys, but they hunt and fight over vast areas. Ingrained in their cultural memory is the idea of a threat to the west that they call the "rude ones" but you can't find those people living anywhere in your area, whoever they are.

Finally the Chang'Yang live in a truly vast valley covered in pine forests, bamboo, and cut into by a truly vast river with several tributaries. This flat basin is entirely surrounded by mountain ranges and filled with deer, giant pandas, and many other animals. The people however live along the river and don't know much about the areas resources or geography, let alone it's relationship to anywhere else. They fish, weave silk poorly, and gather wild rice during the summer, and live on dried rice over the course of a short but cold winter season.

Cultural Overview: The Drukpa
This is a cultural overview of one of the races currently living in your area. It is meant to give you a broad, brief, idea of their personality and lifestyle.

The Drukpa are one of the few remaining warrior peoples of the ice age. They live in small bands connected together in close confederation with other bands as they track and hunt large animals over the vast cold plains of the plateau above. Between hunts Drukpa gather together in permanent settlements made of mammoth bones to socialize, eat, and bond with one another. During hunts the women carry most of the bands possessions and set up temporary homes called yurts for the people to live in. The men hunt mammoths, whooly rhino, irish elk, and aurochs, across the length and breadth of a vast plain seldom stopping except to party with their relatives in the permanent encampments after a really big kill. In times of emergency they eat their own dead rather than leaving them for wolves and other predators to desecrate.

Cultural Overview: The Tsari
This is a cultural overview of one of the races currently living in your area. It is meant to give you a broad, brief, idea of their personality and lifestyle.

The Tsari live by loyalty and obligation. Every child knows that their people face threats from outsiders whether it be the semi mythical rude ones, or the people living in the next valley. The culture is geared to defend themselves against all threats, if your not connected to a tsari as either a loyal subject, or a respected superior, then you are an enemy to be viewed with suspicion even if at some previous point you served the same lord and were the best of friends. Tsari homes are fortified caves dug into the mountainside and protected by crude stone walls. Their clothing is crude leather armor that still has hair attached to it. They often travel between fortresses belonging to the same monarch in protected convoys of sturdy dug out canoes spending as little time outside protected territory as possible by traveling quickly from one safe haven to the next. Everything about these people says they are under siege, but you can find no enemy in the area other than themselves.

Cultural Overview: The Chang'Yang
This is a cultural overview of one of the races currently living in your area. It is meant to give you a broad, brief, idea of their personality and lifestyle.

These are a primitive people with almost no society at all. They live in white silk tipi-like tents, and both men and women wear white, poorly fitted, and poorly woven silk dresses. They survive by gathering wild rice and raw fish from the river. In winter they eat dried rice gathered in woven baskets during the spring and summer, and fish where the ice is thin with their woven nets. The extent of their entire culture can be summed up as groups of families living together and trying to survive. They do have a ritual where if two bands meet and want to trade peacefully they send the women to talk, and if they intend to fight they send out the men, so you know a hostile approach from a peaceful one simply by the gender of the person coming towards you but that's about as far as their idea of manners will go. If there isn't enough fish or rice they aren't above eating members of another band to supplement their supplies. A major feature of the Chang'Yang people is a fear and respect for darkness and the spirits/dangers that lurk within it. Every band has a valuable shaman who controls the secret of fire for the people and uses it to light their encampments at night, without this person the band can not remain independent and dissolves joining nearby related groups, an entire primitive mythology has grown up around how darkness oozes out of caves at night to cover the world bringing with it night, magic, and danger.
