Gamemaster's Post:
Description

A hundred years have passed quickly. The people are still eating a mostly meat diet and hunting accidents increased the mortality rate among your people dramatically during those first few decades. Your population has fallen to only 36 people!

However after a mass die off in the first generation the hunters seem to have gotten the hang of things and there hasn't been any serious injury during the last five years. Wild dread vultures still outnumber the tame ones but a good number of the people have pets helping them to scavenge from the kills of other predators. Malnutrition is up as hunting and scavenging are viewed as sacred to the vulture god, your people want to eat meat, not vegetables!

The tribe roams it's territory like a nomadic band of jackals taking down what prey they can, and stealing from the kills of others. There is no pride in being a grass eater.

Drethnor's Post

Action #1

Ok I've gotta deal with this malnutrition but I like the nomadic path they are going down right now. Thankfully my godlike power lets me do some research into nomadic tribes in africa and I can see I've got some problems coming up. Not just malnutrition, but tuberculosis and other diseases. Plus a wopping huge infant mortality rate.

ok, I don't have a lot of points, less than I started with even for some reason. So I have to be careful. I can't do everything I NEED to do this turn so I'm going to do just what I can. I'd like to annoint another prophet, if the costs stayed the same that's four faith points down and a nice vulture vision of your truly to bolster his faith.

Just to make sure he's listened to I'm going to choose a well respected man, and do the whole vision bit in front of the whole tribe. I'll spend that one fear point to put on a bright terrifying display of my favor. Should help him a bit as he preaches my NEW word.

Action #2

At that same moment I want to use a DREAM to imprint detailed instructions in his mind on the raising, breeding, milking, and slaughter of CATTLE. Should be another five points leaving me six points left. Of course that's assuming I can't imprint it during the first vision for a lesser cost? I'd prefer that!

In the dream I'm also going to stress cleanliness. Drethnor does not like filth. Nobody is to drink water downstream of the cattle and cattle feces are to be buried every night in a pit so as not to attract flies and vermin, as is any old meat that might be going bad. I describe what bad meat is to him. Hopefully that should limit disease, increase the food supply, and the milk should (I hope) help with the vitimin deficiency a bit.

Action 3

Finally I want to use my remaining points to lead my prophet to spots where my vultures show me a young calf seperated from the herd. That happens often enough and normally the calf is fine, this time we are kidnapping the poor little cow! I specifically want both males and females, not just one sex! We want to breed these things after all.

Feedback

Action 1

Very astute, nomadic herdsmen have many problems with disease and your guys aren't exactly the healthiest and most skilled nomads just now. Eating raw (often rotten) meat with the buzzards and killing your own as well isn't exactly a recipe for good health and great nutrition. Which is one reason why almost half your people die every turn even without hunting accidents.

I like the way your looking at precedent to figure out costs. That won't always be accurate, but it is better than nothing. In this case your right. Four points for the prophet, one point for the display. Good to go.

Action 2

Your right here, I will give you a discount since your doing it all at once, it's really a single complex actions, picking the prophet, the display of power, and his falling into this dream. Instead of four faith points for the prophet plus five more for the dream, I'm going to just charge you a staight six points for this! Nice thinking.

Action 3

I like it, that saves time and stops him and his followers from having to fight an angry herd of bison for every calf. It certainly will cut down on injury from this action! I think we're good for this turn, unless you think of something else I'll process this as is.
