Area Overview
This is an overview of what your god knows about the area. It is not meant to be a complete view of your area, but is instead based on what the people in the area know, as you could sense things from all of them as you were just coming into existence.

The three main groups are not really overlapping with each other much, so you are mainly aware of three sections of land. The first roams all over the middle section of your square. The other two being on the smaller side, two different river based settlements on either side of your square to the north. Both rivers are fairly long, and notable and a great resource for the peoples living on them. But the two cultures are fairly different.

Roaming all over the middle area of your zone are the nomadic Ghenshe, following herds of animals, dragging sledges with their tents and such on them. They are in cycles and the idea of everything having the influence of an animal behind it, not a very sophisticated version of totem spiritualism yet, but it is headed in that direction.

On the eastern river are the Hisar, a number of peaceful Conservative groups of spear fishers/early farmers/hunter-gatherers living in primitive housing. The family groups living under the guidance of the council of elders. Life is not easy, but they are doing fairly well, but are not the most adaptable mindset in the world, what has worked for so long should continue working after all.

On the western river are the Rashi, who recently finished a unification war, and have a primitive form of feudalism going on, with each permanent settlement (little more than a walled area with people hanging around there, dressed in leather looking all menacing, having its own despot. The grand leader is a Despot that is ruler of his spot of land, as well as ruler over the other despots, as his elite men, the high guard are sure to remind people as they make their rounds around the lands.

Culture Overview: The Ghenshe
This is a cultural overview of one of the three culture groups currently living in your area. It is meant to give you a broad, brief, idea of their personality and lifestyle.

The Ghenshe are a loose collection of many different tribes roaming the forests hunting game. Setting up temporary encampments wherever they may be, dragging their goods on sledges behind them. They are guided by the elders who are the most knowledgeable of tracking/animals and who speak of the spirit influences behind all things.

Every year after the monsoon seasons have ended they trek to the sacred fields and gather, exchanging information, and woman. During this time the great telling of stories occurs by the elders, sharing the different bits of wisdom and knowledge each group has among the whole.

While hunting, the Ghenshe attempt to sneak in close, and then upon a battle cry all charge the target at once. This is not always the most effective, but they get a kill often enough, as evidenced by the, not yet being dead, and their leather clothing, and tents.

Culture Overview: The Hisar
This is a cultural overview of one of the three culture groups currently living in your area. It is meant to give you a broad, brief, idea of their personality and lifestyle.

The Hisar are very proud of their fishing abilities with the spears, and almost every member who is old enough to talk knows how to do it. They have permanent encampments setup along a large river, they have very primitive boats to assist in traveling father in hunting and gathering. They hunt/fish/grow some eggplants and some gathering.

The culture is very stable, some improvements in areas like boats are welcome, but on the whole, they have a way that works well enough that the elders and most of the people are very much in the mindset of 'what has worked for our ancestors should work just fine for us.'

The hunting and farming is mostly the men, but as mentioned before, almost all are involved in fishing. Some early knowledge of the equinoxes and seasons has been figured out, and in time will likely really shape their stories and views of the world, right now, they pretty much just have the idea of cycles, repeatable things of the seasons and of nature. But they see all this in the context of stability, the seasons can vary from each other, but they always come in the same order, just like a human is a child, the older then adult, then spawn kids of their own. They see all the cycles and changes of the year in the context of an immutable cycle.

Culture Overview: The Rashi
This is a cultural overview of one of the three culture groups currently living in your area. It is meant to give you a broad, brief, idea of their personality and lifestyle.

Those might just look like clearings with people in there with waist high stone walls around them, but these are the bases of operation for the leather clad Rashi. They just recently finished unifying in a form of feudalism. Each area is ruled by a despot, the chief despot is the decendant of the one who started the unification war, and each of te other despots answer to him. This is assisted by the head despot's high guard traveling amongst all the encampments.

They hunt. They hunt, wicked with spears, traveling by boat and foot. They train, they send out scout for weeks at a time looking for new, unknown groups to take, new areas to take. All for one purpose, one driving goal that drove the first despot that started the recently ended war... the tales say of long ago how the Rashi were displaced from their perfect Eden of a land by the creatures of shadows and darkness and night. And some day they might return, and the only way to keep the shadow beasts or anything else from displacing the Rashi ever again is to take, and OWN the land and destroy all who are possible threats, or even just in the way taking up valuable resources that could be making the rashi stronger.
